- C-183 — As city solicitor in 1855 Bonney was instructed to prepare the laying out of Central Bridge as a public way, and the City Council so voted on July 24, 1855. The dispute with the bridge company ended in 1862 with a verdict by consent of $33,958.51 for the company, of which Dracut paid $7,865 and Lowell the rest; Bonney, T. H. Sweetser and B. F. Butler were the city's counsel through the trials.
- C-185 — Bonney ran for mayor of Lowell as the regular Republican candidate at the municipal election of December 1862 and lost to Hocum Hosford, 1,876 votes to 1,320.
- C-186 — Bonney's lesser offices in the directories and in Hurd: a director of the Howard Fire Insurance Company of Lowell in 1859–61; master in chancery for Middlesex in the lists of county officers for 1859 and 1861; a justice of the peace (1859, 1861, 1886, 1894); and, about 1890, president of the Lowell Bar Association, organized in October 1875.
- C-188 — At about sixteen Bonney published and edited a Lowell newspaper for a year: the Old Residents' Contributions say the Orion, started in 1843–44 by Washington F. Somerby, 'passed into the possession of Arthur P. Bonney who published and edited it another year'; Hurd says instead that he edited the Operative in its second year.
