Statements this record supports
- C-060 — David Holmes Mason (1925–2010), treasurer of the Wm. P. Proctor lumber company, North Chelmsford, later vice-president of the Central Savings Bank, Lowell, and son of FHA Commissioner Norman P. Mason, was 'a board member of the Battles Home' (obituary). The earlier statement that he was also its president is not in the obituary and is unsupported.
- C-066 — Kenneth G. Hamilton (born Petoskey, Michigan, 8 Oct 1907; died Lowell, 5 Apr 2003, aged 95) was 'a resident of the Battles Home care center in Lowell for the past four years' at his death, i.e. c. 1999–2003. During the Second World War he served in the Coast Guard Reserve Auxiliary on Lake Erie and worked for Bell Aircraft on the Kingcobra fighter and the first U.S. jet aircraft; afterwards a self-employed yacht broker and three-time winning skipper of the Freeman Cup on Lake Ontario.
- C-067 — Arlene Miele was executive director of the Battles Home in its last years and was quoted by the Lowell Sun in 2011 ('Arlene Miele, who …' — the clipping names her in connection with the 2005 buyers' plans to refurbish the house). A funeral-home notice records her death on 29 January 2025 in Nashua, N.H.
